The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Magnificent trophy was presented to Jean Beliveau following his first of two seasons of senior hockey with the Quebec Aces. The engraved plate beneath the clock includes the year and also reads "Jean Beliveau - Quebec Aces - Player of Distinction". No kidding! The lanky centerman had a phenomenal season, drawing huge crowds to the Colisée and other rinks around the Quebec Senior Hockey League while firing 45 goals and 83 points, both league-highs. The future Hall-of-Famer led the Aces to the QSHL championship and ultimately the Alexander Cup as the best in Canada. The wooden base measures 21" x 6" while an engraved metal plate identifies the award. There has been some professional restoration done including the players and statuettes having been repainted. Superb trophy from Jean Beliveau's pre-NHL career, it will be accompanied by an autographed photo of the presentation ceremony and his signed letter of authenticity.
