The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
A funky handpainted copper plate and an artist's rendition of Montreal's City Hall in 1878 make up this interesting lot. The inscription in French on the back of the plate indicates that it was presented to Canadiens team captain Jean Beliveau after he led the Habs to the Stanley Cup in the spring of 1965 and that it was offered by the City of Montreal. The framed print measures 14" x 16", was signed by then Montreal mayor Jean Drapeau and is dated May 21, 1979. It commemorates the Canadiens 22nd Stanley Cup victory and also reads "Bravo à Jean Beliveau". Outstanding pieces are in perfect condition and will come with a letter of authenticity signed by 17-time Stanley Cup winner Jean Beliveau.
