Splendid silver-plated 3-sectional meat platterr was presented to members of the Canadiens' organization following Montreal's second consecutive Stanley Cup title in April of 1957. Engraving at the top reads "National Hockey League - Stanley Cup Winners - 1956-57 - Club De Hockey Canadien Inc. - Jean Beliveau." Winner of the Hart and Art Ross trophies the previous year, Beliveau had a fine ‘56-57 season, his 84 points (33 goals) leading the Habs and placing him 3rd in league scoring behind Howe and Lindsay. Beliveau added 6 goals in the playoffs and the Canadiens took both the Rangers and Bruins in 5-game series. Boom-Boom Geoffrion scored 11 times while 4 of Rocket Richard's 8 playoff goals came in game 1 of the finals. This grand Stanley Cup memento was until just recently on display at the Hall of Fame and is in excellent condition with light surface scratches on the front and tarnish to the back. Jean Beliveau's signed LOA will be included with this terrific piece.
