The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
The hockey world was aware that the 1970-71 season would be Jean Beliveau's last of his fabulous career and the Philadelphia Flyers paid tribute to the Montreal captain during their last visit of the season to the Forum. This magnificent silver-plated tray was their gift to Beliveau. It features the inscribed facsimile autographs of all Flyer players, including rookie Bobby Clarke and features a Flyers logo beneath which the scripted engraving reads "Presented to Jean Beliveau by the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Club Inc. March 24th 1971". In excellent-plus condition with just some tarnish on the back to remove, the stunning piece will come with Jean Beliveau's signed LOA.
