The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
The most valuable player of the Montreal Canadiens for several of his 18 seasons, Jean Beliveau captured his second of two Hart trophies as league MVP in 1963-64. Beliveau's 20 goals and 58 assists placed him 3rd in scoring behind Mikita and Hull, the latter who Beliveau edged out in voting for the Hart. A heavy bronze plaque is applied to a wooden backing and features the NHL shield at the top and a metal plate towards the bottom with Beliveau's name, the name of his team and the 2 seasons in which he captured one of the league's most prestigious individual awards. Plaques from this vintage are hardly ever seen. This one is in excellent-plus condition with notably a few scratches to the top of the NHL logo. Awesome memento from another stellar season, this scarce plaque will be accompanied by a LOA signed by the great Jean Beliveau.
