The Bobby Hull Auction - May 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/25/2004
Attractive dureen home white Oilers jersey was donned by Alberta native Stan Weir during the Oilers' second season in the NHL. Produced by Sandow with a completely washed out tag in the neck and "Sandow SK" screened onto the rear hem, it features a nice embroidered Oilers crest sewn on the front and an Alberta 75th anniversary patch on the right shoulder. Blue and bright orange numbers are sewn-on, as is "Weir" on the nameplate. Moderate game use includes a half dozen stick/slash marks on the front, along with a burn that left a small unrepaired hole. Another small hole on the left elbow to mention, as well as some nice pilling at the collar and shoulders. Outstanding early NHL Oilers sweater will come with a letter of authenticity.
