The Bobby Hull Auction - May 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/25/2004
Handsome display was created to commemorate René Robert's 200th career goal in the NHL. The Sabres sniper scored it in Buffalo in late February, 1978 during a 4-4 tie between the Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins. Denis Herron was the victim, although he did make 49 saves in the game! A Converse puck is mounted on a 9" x 12" wooden plaque that features an engraved metal plate which lists the date and opponent, along with the Sabres logo. Another Converse puck with athletic tape and the details of the goal – the puck actually used to score the goal – will be included. In excellent condition, they will come with a letter of authenticity signed by René Robert.
