The Bobby Hull Auction - May 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/25/2004
Rookie Jesse Belanger split the 1992-93 season between Montreal and AHL Fredericton and showed enough to gain coach Jacques Demers' confidence for part of the playoffs. Belanger dressed for 9 playoff games and got his name engraved on the Stanley Cup. Not bad for a guy who never was drafted! Although Belanger did not play in the two Cup finals games in Los Angeles, his number "29" jersey worn earlier that spring was ready to go with the Stanley Cup centennial patch added to the right breast. The Habs crest, the numbers, and "Belanger" on the nameplate are all in tackle twill and sewn-on. The size 54 sweater has a Maska Ultrafil tag in the neck and embroidered CCM and NHL logos on the tail. Light but obvious game use with a few board burns on the sleeves. A letter of authenticity will be included with this fine gamer.
