A Kansas City Scouts gamer is always a find to celebrate and this one from the 1975-76 season is no exception. This vintage white Scouts durene game-worn No. 24 jersey has Wilson size 48 and Gunzo’s tagging in the neck, with some fraying to the edges of the Gunzo’s label. Elaborate triple twill Scouts crest on the front features chain-stitching to KC and Indian scout on horseback. The felt season patch swatch with "75 76" embroidered on it in red thread is sewn on the inside reverse hem behind the right hip seam. The garter-style fight strap was originally on the number "4" and is now affixed to the number "2" inside the back. There is a huge board burn with lots of blue paint transfer on the right sleeve that runs through the top of the blue and red double twill no. “4” and a reddish-brown spot stain on the left sleeve. The number "4" currently on the back of the jersey was changed from another prior number that was on the jersey, which appears to have been either an "8" or a "9", and both current numbers currently on the back of the jersey were slightly repositioned. The numbers "4" on the sleeves were also changed from a previous number appearing to be an "8" or a "9". In 1974-75, Ed Gilbert wore No. 24, which he possibly wore the following season. Randy Rota is also listed as wearing number "24" in a program from a game played on October 8, 1975, but he also wore mostly number "25" that season with the jersey most likely worn by more than a player. There is evidence of a former nameplate with eight (8) team repairs done on the jersey in that area. More game wear includes black marks on the front tail, a couple of unrepaired small holes on the wide red band on the front tail, black marks with orange and blue paint transfer on the lower left sleeve, and pilling/stretching to the material inside the elbows.
