Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
After losing the first two games of the 1993 Stanley Cup playoffs to the province-rival Quebec Nordiques, Patrick Roy and the Montreal Canadiens won four straight games to dump the Nords, and then proceeded to win the next seven straight which included vanishing Buffalo and winning the first three against the Islanders in the Conference Finals. In the Stanley Cup finals, the LA Kings would only manage a single victory against the Habs, with the club winning a record 24th championship while Roy was honoured with the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. This photo of St Patrick hoisting Lord Stanley's hardware has been signed by the iconic netminder, with the signature graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA/DNA. At 8" x 10", Roy is jubilant as he holds the Stanley Cup over his head while his teammates look on. Signed over his jersey in blue marker, the flawless signature presents perfectly, with no condition issues visible for the photo.
