The 39th season of play in the history of the fabled Toronto Maple Leafs, Ontario's entry into the National Hockey League would finish the 1955-56 regular season with a record 24–33–13, finishing in fourth (4th) place and setting up a first round playoffs matchup with the Detroit Red Wings. Led in points by forward Tod Sloan, offered here is this stick signed by twenty (20) members of the 1955-56 Toronto Maple Leafs. A vintage generic wooden stick from Doug Laurie Sports in Toronto that sports stamps from the retailer on either side of its shaft, "Centre" and "6" are stamped over the upper shaft while the lower shaft retains a pair of red and blue coloured striping accent stickers. Having never been taped and measuring roughly 60" in length from the tip of the blade to the top of the shaft, the stick remains in good condition with no major signs of wear or any breaks/cracks. For the signatures, coming in at twenty (20) strong and all having been signed over one side in pencil, those that have signed include deceased HOFers George Armstrong, Tim Horton, Ted Kennedy, Harry Lumley Conn Smythe and King Clancy to go along with autographs from; Klukay, Migay, Smith, Morrison, McDonald, Solinger, Cahan, Sloan, Nesterenko, Thomson, Smith, Bailey, Daley and Bolton. All the signatures display legible and in good condition.
