Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Earning seventy-four (74) points during the 1964-65 NHL season – enough for a fourth-place finish, the Toronto Maple Leafs were led in scoring by Frank Mahovlich, with Terry Sawchuk producing seventeen (17) wins and earning the Vezina Trophy (along with Johnny Bower). Facing Jean Beliveau and the rival Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup semifinals, the Leafs would lose the series in six (6) games. We have a stick team-signed by nineteen (19) members of the 1964-65 Leafs. A generic full-size, straight-blade model with “6” stamped to the upper shaft, there is electrical tape over the blade, with all nineteen (19) signing one side of the shaft – mostly in ballpoint, including HOFers Tim Horton (nice bold example), George Armstrong, Allan Stanley (somewhat light), Dickie Moore, Dave Keon, Frank Mahovlich, Johnny Bower (dark), Andy Bathgate and Red Kelly, along with Stewart, Harris, Brewer (2), Ellis, Shack and a few others. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
