One of only seven men throughout a century of NHL hockey to eclipse the insurmountable 700-goal plateau and just the third in the league's history to surpass the mark of 800, Alexander Ovechkin has proven himself as one of the game’s all-time greatest, with HOF enshrinement guaranteed. Having recently taken ownership of the NHL's all-time goal scoring record and surpassing Wayne Gretzky for the mark, Ovechkin is the practical owner of the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy that is awarded at seasons end to the man with the most goals during the season, with Ovi having won it nine (9) times in his career, including a run of four (4) straight between 2012-13 and 2015-16. A Stanley Cup champion with the Washington Capitals in 2018, a playoffs in which he also captured the Conn Smythe Trophy, Ovi has also secured a trio of Hart Memorial Trophy's and an Art Ross Trophy for his esteemed resume. Scoring perhaps the most memorable goal of his long career while still a rookie, sliding on his back against the Phoenix Coyotes on January 16th, 2006 and potting the puck on Brian Boucher at 11:54 of the third (3rd) period, offered here is this framed display that brings attention to the moment. Measuring out to full dimension of 37" x 18", the display includes a pair of 8" x 10" photos of Ovi, one (1) of which is from the moment he scored "the goal", as well as replica of that day's game sheet and a plaque reading "Alexander Ovechkin - Washington Capitals #8 - The Goal". With everything housed in a black frame under dual black and white coloured mattes, Ovechkin as signed the photo capturing the memorable marker with a black marker ink signature that displays well despite some fading from age. Having had both Frozen Pond and "Ovechkin8" holograms affixed to the bottom right hand corner of the display, a Frozen Pond COA is affixed to the back of the frame as well, which is in overall good condition, showing just a light amount of wear from handling/display.
