Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Skating for the Minnesota North Stars throughout the 1980s, HOFer Dino Ciccarelli would register his two best career seasons with the Stars, including in just his second NHL season, scoring 106 points including 55 goals in 1981-82, followed by 103 points including 52 goals during the 1986-87 season. A veteran of nineteen (19) seasons in the National Hockey League who would record exactly 1200 points over that time, Ciccarelli would be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010. Offered here, we present this stick used by Ciccarelli as a member of the North Stars during the period of the mid-1980s. A Canadien 6001 model twig with "Ciccarelli" stamped over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original white tape job around its shaved handle/knob as well as around the blade as well. Displaying a production stamp reading "7677" on the underside of the lower shaft near the heel, the stick displays good evidence of game-use throughout its entirety through numerous marks and abrasions while both sides of the blade tape show numerous puck marks over both sides as well as some tears which are heaviest over the underside of the blade. Of note, some of the tape around the handle has come loose at the bottom and is worth noting for accuracy.
