Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
From the glory days of the blue and white, when Toronto won a trio of consecutive Stanley Cup championships, offered here we present this collection of fourteen (14) Toronto Maple Leafs photos from the 1945-54 release by the company. Paced by desirable examples of HOFers, including those of Syl Apps (dark jersey - "Syl Apps" signature variation - pinhole and edge wear at the top - small edge tear over left side near the bottom - light-to-moderate toning), Turk Broda (white jersey action shot in splits - "W.E." signature variation - pinhole at the top - small edge tear at the bottom - small crease over left border and light-to-moderate toning), Ted Kennedy (dark jersey still image - "full stick blade" variation - pinhole at top edge and light toning) and Howie Meeker (dark jersey still image - "small signature" variation - pinhole over the top edge - wear to the top edge - small crease at top left corner), the rest of the lot includes the examples of names such as Gus Mortson (dark jersey still image), Vic Lynn (dark jersey still image - "head 3/8" from border" variation), Garth Boesch (dark jersey still image - "open B in signature" variation), Gaye Stewart (dark jersey still image - black & white tint variation), Wally Stanowski (dark jersey still image - "stick blade cropped" variation), Jim Thompson (dark jersey still image - "stick blade touches border" variation), Gus Bodnar (dark jersey still image), Harry Watson (dark jersey still image - "some tape visible on stick" variation), Bob Goldham (dark jersey still image - "normal "G" in signature, full stick blade" variation) and Bill Ezinicki (dark jersey still image - "William signature" variation). With all the photos displaying well but hampered by pin holes over their top borders (found on each), some also show things such as small edge tears, corner creases, creasing, edge/corner wear and light-to-moderate toning that is worth noting in some cases.
