Having suited up in the uniform of the Montreal Canadiens for a total of 13-years that saw him win a pair of Stanley Cup championships and play on the “Punch Line” with Maurice Richard and Elmer Lach, Toe Blake would take up the place behind the Canadiens bench starting in 1955-56, winning the Stanley Cup every year in his first five seasons and then three more after that. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966, offered here is this vintage-style Montreal Canadiens jersey/sweater that feature’s high-quality customization that makes it a Toe Blake example. Montreal's classic red coloured uniform shirt with brand/size "L" labeling affixed to the interior of the tie-neck collar, the front is decorated with Montreal's famed "CH" team crest in stacked tri-layer felt style while the distinguished captain's "C" appears sewn on over the left breast. Having had the logo of CCM embroidered into the reverse hem and accented over the reverse with Blake's number "6" via a dual layer white-over-blue felt numeral, the sweater is found to be in excellent condition with no flaws to mention and has been further enhanced by a cut signature of Blake's that has been signed by the legendary Canadiens alumni in blue ballpoint pen ink that displays without issue. Overall, the cut signature measures roughly 2 1/2" x 2" and is affixed via some light adhesive.
