This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
A nice mix of various rubber offerings is up for grabs here, totalling out to thirty-two (32) biscuits and balls in all for you to consider, which hail from leagues such as the WHA, NHL, AHL and WHL and other things such as player approvals and advertising pieces that largely date between the 1970s and 1970s. Paced by WHA examples that include a red coloured slug from the home opener of the Philadelphia Blazers on October 13th, 1972 that were given to fans and thrown onto the ice when the fans were informed that the game would have to be rescheduled due to the Zamboni's weight cracking the ice after it was formed improperly (light wear to the corner of the non-dated logo), the rest of the rival league slugs includes a game puck of the Birmingham Bulls (1972-77 Viceroy V3 with rubber front logo) that shows heavy crazy and minor wear, a Philadelphia Blazers game puck from 1972-73 that sports an old "Made in Czechoslovakia" reverse (excellent condition) and 1975-76 Winnipeg Jets player pucks of Lars Erik Sjoberg and Ted Green (both excellent condition), the pucks of the NHL include a 1968-69 Art. Ross/Converse rubberized game puck of the Oakland Seals (three holes in the reverse and darkening/light wear to both rubberized logos) and Viceroy game pucks of the Quebec Nordiques (light wear and darkened front logo), Detroit Red Wings (crazing to the front logo) and Atlanta Flames (wear to the logo and missing pieces around the edges) while souvenir examples include those of the Oakland Seals from the 1960s and 1970s, one (1) of which is by Rawlings and sports darkening to both the front and back logos while the other sports a painted like logo over the front with some wear. With the rest of the lot including notables such as an AHL reverse logo only game puck from 1962-64 (excellent shape) and a WHL Portland Buckaroos game puck from 1965-69 that shows some wear over both sides (CCM3 slug), the final pucks in the lot include various oil and gas advertisement examples that include a Foster Hewitt promo mini puck from 1953 (cracking to the front logo) and various other generic and sponsorship/player endorsement examples as well. Finally, the lot concludes with new-in-packge/new-old-stock street hockey pucks and balls that are endorsed by the likes of Phil Esposito (late-1960s/early-1970s), Bobby Clarke (mid-1970s) and Mike Bossy (early-1980s) while the final product is found via a new in package "Power Puck" by Viceroy.
