Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Something as old as the game itself, nicknames given to players by both fans and teammates/opponents have always been a way for the team's faithful to easier associate with or bring up players in conversation and for teammates/opponents to communicate with each other on the ice, offered here is this collection of thirty (30) pucks that have been by various players who have all inscribed their nicknames as well. All having signed their autographs over mostly souvenir model slugs made by InGlasCo that feature various logos of the teams that that player most notably played with, all of the pucks included in the lot have been signed in either silver or gold marker ink while each has also been inscribed by the man that signed it with their nickname in some form. Additionally, a couple have also included inscriptions for their number, awards won or Hockey Hall of Fame induction years as well. Including examples of Ron Hextall (Philadelphia), Denis DeJordy (Chicago), Jim Henry (Boston), Howie Young (Detroit), Dennis Hull (Chicago), Dale Hawerchuk (Winnipeg), Joe Klukay (Toronto), John Wensink (Boston), Marcel Dionne (Los Angeles), Gerry Cheevers x2 (Boston), Ken Daneyko (New Jersey), Denis Potvin (New York), Glenn Hall (Chicago - vintage Viceroy puck), Leo Reise (Detroit), Dean Prentice (New York), Allen Stanley (Toronto), Mike Vernon (Calgary), Ted Kennedy (Toronto), Johnny McCormack (Toronto), Reggie Leach (Philadelphia), Bobby Baun (Toronto), Jim Dorrey (Toronto), Bobby Hull (Chicago - vintage Viceroy puck), Norm Ullman (Detroit), Woody Dumart (Boston), Larry Hillman (Boston), Brad Park (Boston), Johnny Bower (Toronto) and Vic Hadfield (New York). With the signatures all displaying beautifully for the most part (some show the odd light/small smudge that is worth mentioning for accuracy) along with the pucks themselves (some show light handling/age wear), many of the pucks included are accompanied by matching COA's.
