Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Drinkers of Coca-Cola (and Sprite) in the mid-1960s had some nifty promotions to consider, with the '65-66 season presenting consumers with the chance to send away for complete team sets of square-ish cards on thick paper stock which could be mounted and stored in a special album. Originally coming in long team strips of either nine (9) or ten (10) cards each that could be torn from each other via perforated edges, offered here is this collection of five (5) cards from the 1965-66 Coca Cola NHL Hockey release that have all been graded by PSA, with all but one (1) having earned a mark of NM-MT+ 8.5 or higher for their efforts. All picturing players that suited up in the famed blue and white colours of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the group includes the examples of Red Kelly (PSA EX-MT 6), Bob Pulford (PSA MINT 9 - POP 10 - Second Highest Graded - One Graded Higher), Eddie Shack (PSA MINT 9 - POP 10 - Highest Graded), Brit Selby (PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 - POP 1 - Twelve Graded Higher) and Mike Walton (PSA MINT 9 - POP 10 - Second Highest Graded - Two Graded Higher). All displaying a "Perforated" designation over their labels and housed in oversized PSA holders that remain in overall excellent condition, don't miss out on this group of vintage food-issue goodies for your vintage portfolio!
