Two standout jerseys from the late-2010s Prince George Cougars era. These pieces were worn
by defenseman Rhett Rhinehart and winger Jonny Hooker during their WHL tenures.
Rhett Rhinehart suited up for the Cougars from 2017-18 through 2019-20, and this black road
jersey, which includes an alternate captain’s “A” and Memorial Cup 100th anniversary patch,
dates to the 2017-18 WHL season. The jersey bears his name “RHINEHART” in white single
twill over a black nameplate, sewn onto this #3 jersey. An important note: while this jersey bears
Rhinehart’s name, he is pictured wearing #27 during the majority of his Cougars tenure,
suggesting this #3 jersey may have been worn briefly early in his time with the team, or possibly
that a wrong nameplate was reattached to the jersey and another player wore that jersey.
Evidence of a previously affixed shorter nameplate is also visible. The number “3” is sewn in white over black
and red triple-layered tackle twill on both sleeves and the back. An “A” sits on the left breast
beneath a CCM crest, with a WHL crest sewn to the right. “PG” cougar patches are stitched on
both shoulders, a CHL crest is stitched to the back hem and a Memorial Cup 100th anniversary
patch is prominently featured on the right sleeve. Inside the collar, a CCM CHL tag is stitched in,
with a size “56” fly tag hanging below. Game wear includes a prominent board burn through the
right sleeve “3,” an unrepaired cut next to the number, additional board burns down the sleeve,
and a yellow transfer mark on the left arm. A fight strap remains firmly sewn inside.
Hooker’s red third jersey is styled with his number “18” stitched in black over white tackle twill on
the sleeves and back, while “HOOKER” appears in white over black twill on a red nameplate. A
“PG” patch sits on the right shoulder, with the team’s cougar crest on the left. CCM crests
appear on the front left breast and back neckline, while the WHL patch is sewn on the right
breast and a CHL crest to the lower back hem. Inside the collar, a CCM CHL tag is present
along with a size “56” fly tag. The jersey shows moderate game use consistent with WHL-level
play, with a securely affixed fight strap still intact. Game wear throughout the jersey is light, most
noticeable are several small board burns on both sleeves.
Both jerseys come with accompanying Letters of Authenticity
