Noteworthy as the set that introduced collectors to the one and only Bobby Orr, and expanding from 128 cards from the previous season to 132, the 1966-67 Topps set remains one of the most popular produced during the era. Issued with two different wrappers, with one noting ’67, while the other is void of the year, we offer a 1966-67 Topps wrapper with this the void of year variation, helping us determine that this particular example is a first (1st) series example. Measuring approximately 5 1/4" x 6" for its effort and sporting imagery of a generic player with full smile along with the original 5 cent purchase price, the wrapper mentions a hockey puck mail-in offer over one side that would have been folded around the reverse side of the pack. Also proudly claiming that all six (6) National Hockey League teams were represented in the set over the front of the wrapper, the wrapper is found to be in overall good condition for its effort and age, showing the expected fold lines throughout and displaying beautifully with the colours remaining bright, a couple of small tears are observed at all four corners of the red section where the cards would have sat while the odd surface mark is preset as well and worth noting for accuracy.
