Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Battling in the competitive Adams Division, the Toronto Maple Leafs finished in third and fourth place in 1978-79 and 1979-80 respectively, with Darryl Sittler leading the club in scoring both seasons. This stick has been signed by 12 members of either the 1978-79 or 1979-80 Leafs. A Louisville model made for a player named "Harris", with his name over the lower shaft (during the era, Louisville models had the player's name large on both sides of the shaft, and we have previously sold these types of models used by Guy Lafleur, Stan Mikita and Henri Richard), both the striping accents are intact. The top side of the shaft has been shaved down, with 12 signing in ballpoint including Lanny McDonald, Paul Harrison, Walt McKechnie, Rocky Saganiuk, Dan Maloney, John Anderson and a few others. Some of the signatures are hard to make out, with the stick in like-new condition. There is also a piece of removable masking tape affixed to the upper shaft with "78/79 or 79/80 Leafs" handwritten.
