Quickly approaching their centennial season of play as a member of the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks were founded in 1926 and are one of the most illustrious franchises in the league today. Part of the "Original Six" era from 1942 to 1967 and laying claim to six (6) Stanley Cup championships throughout their history as well as numerous Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, offered here is this vintage 1950's blazer that once belonged to Robert D. Wilson, once the Chief Eastern Scout for the Chicago Blackhawks during the heyday era of the "Original Six" and the man responsible for signing future Black Hawks legend and 1983 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Bobby Hull. A stunning navy coloured garment of a wool construction that is done in a 3/2 roll button style, a label from Frank Brothers of New York is found on the interior, with the inner pocket sporting a stapled in dry cleaning label and a name-tag that was never filled out. Measuring out to between a size "42" and "44", the breast pocket on the outside has had Chicago's famed Indigenous head logo embroidered into it with "Chicago" found arched above and "Black Hawks" arched below. Displaying with three (3) brass buttons down the center of the jacket and additional ones near the cuffs that all show some signs of use and handling from wear, the piece is found to be in overall fantastic condition with no rips, holes or tears to the interior or exterior and no damage to the inner lining. A true gem of a piece from a bygone era of the game, the jacket is also accompanied by one of Wilson's old business cards that sports his name as well as a Black Hawks logo and his title. Measuring roughly 3 5/8" x 2", the card remains in excellent condition.
