Topping the Provincial Jr. A division of the Ontario Hockey League's Junior "A" ranks during the 1962-63 regular season with a record of 31-12-7, the 1962-63 edition of the Niagara Falls Flyers would knock off the Hamilton Red Wings and Montreal Jr. Canadiens in the playoffs to set up an All-Ontario Finals matchup with the Neil McNeil Maroons, who had won the Metro Toronto Junior A League. Going on to defeat the Maroons and then the Espanola Eagles in the Eastern Canada Memorial Cup Finals, the Flyers would play the Edmonton Oil Kings for the Memorial Cup, coming up just short on the road in Edmonton, dropping the series four (4) games to two (2). Offered here, we present this 1962-63 Niagara Falls Flyers team-signed testimonial dinner menu and event program from the night of May 15th, 1963. Measuring out to roughly a standard sized piece of paper and showing Flyers imagery over the front as well as the event, date and venue, the backside displays a Flyers team photo and roster while the interior displays the menu and schedule of events. Signed on the inside by twenty-four (24) members of that year's Flyers squad in a mix of blue pen ink and pencil, those that have signed include notables such as Hap Emms, Don Awrey, Gary Dornhoefer, Bill Goldsworthy, Terry Crisp and Ron Schock. With all the signatures displaying well and remaining legible despite their age, the piece itself is also in good shape for its effort, showing with some toning and foxing on the front as well as the expected light handling, edge, surface and corner wear plus the odd light crease.
