Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Straight from the heart of the WHL, this pair of late-2000s Red Deer Rebels game-worn jerseys
features a home jersey worn by Cody Gross and a third jersey worn by alternate captain
Brennen Wray during his final season with the team.
The Gross jersey is from the 2007-08 to 2008-09 period when he patrolled the blue line for Red
Deer. The white gamer features a faint outline suggesting the removal of a former nameplate,
with other wear including what appear to be washed-out blood stains on the front and right
sleeve. Light stick marks are scattered throughout the garment. The Wray jersey was worn
during the 2008-09 campaign. It features an assistant captain’s “A” stitched on the left breast
and includes a team COA. This alternate third jersey also shows wear, including multiple
stick marks throughout the jersey and a yellow transfer on the left elbow.
Both jerseys are tagged as size “56” with RBK/CHL neck tagging and include matching team
and league detailing: WHL patches on the right chest, RBK crests on the left breast and reverse
neckline, CHL patches on the rear hem, and Rebels shoulder patches. Numerals are stitched on
both sleeves and back, with surnames on rear nameplates. Each jersey features a fight strap
intact on the inside rear. Both players have personally signed the back hem of their respective
jerseys.
