Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025

Game-worn road and home jerseys from the Red Deer Rebels’ 1997–98 and 1998–99 seasons,
worn by goaltender Mike Whitney and forward Kent Beagle, capture two distinct looks from
consecutive WHL campaigns.
Mike Whitney’s 1997–98 road jersey is a number “32” goalie cut with “97-98” handwritten on the
back of the CCM logo inside the hem. Whitney played with the Rebels from 1994–95 through
1997–98. This size “56” jersey includes a CCM tag sewn beside a size fly tag inside the collar.
CCM and CHL crests are stitched on the rear hem, with Rebels patches on both shoulders.
Puck marks appear across the front of the jersey, including over the crest, and a visible
unrepaired cut runs along the front band. Light evidence of a former nameplate is present,
suggesting the current plate may have been reattached. A fight strap is affixed inside.
Kent Beagle’s 1998–99 home jersey comes from his lone WHL season with Red Deer, during
which he appeared in 36 regular-season games and six playoff contests. The white gamer is
tagged size “54” with a Bauer tag inside the neckline. A sponsor patch is sewn on the right chest
and a Bauer crest on the left. Rebels shoulder patches flank the upper arms, with “24” on each
sleeve and the back. “BEAGLE” is stitched across the nameplate, and a Bauer logo is sewn
onto the rear hem. Inside, the fight strap remains attached, though the Velcro is partly detached. There is light evidence of a possible former nameplate.
This jersey shows heavy game use, with numerous stick and puck marks, unrepaired cuts on
the front and left cuff, board burns on the back and right sleeve, and a red transfer mark on the
left arm.
