One of the most popular collectibles of the Original Six era, Bee Hive hockey player photos produced by the St. Lawrence Starch Co. were a staple for Canadian youth/hockey fans, with the company's Bee Hive branded products also extremely popular in Canadian households throughout the mid-century. Offered here, we present this collection of twenty (20) items relating to the company as well as their ever popular hockey photos. Paced by a large oversized newsprint ad of the Stanley Cup champion 1937-38 Toronto Maple Leafs that displays a team photo over the top portion below a title reading "A Sweet Series!, A Sweet Win!, A Sweet Team!", an image of one of the company's iconic corn syrup cans is also visible as well. In overall excellent collection over than a couple small tears along the bottom, a large corner crease and even toning throughout, the pieces measures out to roughly 16'x 14". For the other items included within the collection, present is a scribbler from the late-1930s, a pair of scribblers from the 1960s that have NHL photo ad reverse covers, a request form, a photo list, a Dave Keon skate sharpener ad, an NHL team shield offer sheet ad, two (2) different delivery envelopes that have .02 cent postage on them, a "Who's Who in Hockey" booklet from 1936-37, a "Who's Who in Hockey" booklet from 1939-40 and finally, eight (8) mini sized newspaper ads that each show a photo of a Maple Leafs player. All in overall good condition but varying depending on age and amount of handling, its worth noting that the scribbler from the late-1930s shows the most wear via some cover/edge/spine wear, rusting of the staples and liquid stains.
