Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
A product of the Ontario Hockey Association's Oshawa Generals, Dick Gamble would go on to play a total of 195 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of Montreal, Chicago and Toronto, winning a Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1953. Also playing a total of 899 games in the American Hockey League and winning a trio of Calder Cup championships with the Rochester Americans, offered here is this stick used by Gamble as a member of the Rochester Americans in the mid-1960s. A CCM Custom Pro offering with "Gamble" stamped over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original black tape job around the knob while the blade, dressed in a white and blue wrapping is likely to have been retaped at some point. In overall excellent condition with a spot of darker wood near the top of the shaft on the backhand side, the stick shows good wear via numerous dark puck/stick marks and other abrasions throughout its entirety.
