Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
From what many consider the most competitive conference in NCAA Division I hockey, this
yellow Merrimack jersey hails from forward John Heffernan’s collegiate career with the Warriors,
which spanned from 2009-10 through 2012-13. This particular gamer dates to the circa 2009-10
season, his freshman year with the program. Inside the collar, a Pop Tops manufacturer’s tag is
sewn alongside a fly tag denoting the jersey as a size “54.” A Hockey East patch is applied on
the right breast, while the Pop Tops crest is positioned toward the right of the front neckline.
Heffernan’s number “8” appears on both sleeves and the back in white over navy blue tackle
twill. His surname “HEFFERNAN” is stitched in matching twill to a yellow nameplate across the
upper verso. A Pop Tops logo tag is also affixed to the rear hem. Visible signs of game wear
include a series of stick marks on both sleeves, with a partial cut near the elbow on the right
arm. Additional puck or stick contact marks can be seen on the left sleeve and upper back.
