Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2025
Worn during Everton Blackwin’s brief 11-game run with the Johnstown Chiefs in the 1991-92
season, this jersey has all the familiar marks of a battle-tested minor league jersey.
Manufactured by CCM and tagged a size “54”, this jersey shows evidence of a former
nameplate, with the collar tag partially caught in the stitching of the current nameplate, folding it
into the seam. Measuring approximately to a size “54”, the jersey features classic
“JOHNSTOWN” lettering across the chest in yellow over white tackle twill, with “24” applied to
both sleeves and the back in matching double twill. “BLACKWIN” is stitched in single-layer
yellow twill on the rear nameplate. Chiefs logo patches adorn both shoulders, and a traditional
fight strap remains firmly stitched inside the lower back.
Game wear is extensive throughout. The front band shows several prominent stick and puck
marks. The right sleeve is heavily worn, with scuffing, a board burn on the elbow, and stick
marks bleeding into the sleeve numbers. The left sleeve features similar game damage. The
reverse hem shows a small board burn, red transfer marks, and further stick marks.
