Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025

A product of the QMJHL, defenseman Michael Couch suited up for 60 games with the
Johnstown Chiefs during the 2009–10 ECHL season. This black gamer is tagged as a size “58”
and it's made by SP. The inner collar brand tag is stitched in, though the tag is loose on one
side. An SP logo is sewn just above the alternate captain’s “A” on the left breast, while a
screen-printed U.S. Army patch adorns the right breast. Chiefs logos are found on both
shoulders, with Couch’s number “4” displayed on each sleeve and on the verso in yellow over
white tackle twill. His name “COUCH” is stitched across the black nameplate on the back in
white single layer twill and a fight strap is firmly affixed inside the back of the jersey as well. A
screen-printed “Bic” sponsorship patch is located just above the back hem, slightly lifting at the
bottom right corner. Game wear is evident throughout. A faint yellow stain is visible on the front,
near the right side of the neckline. On the left sleeve, several stick marks and a few rips are
noticeable near the elbow.
