Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
A charter member of the National Hockey League that set up shop way beforehand in 1909, the Montreal Canadiens lay claim to the most Stanley Cup championships in NHL history with a total of twenty-four (24) and have had some of the best players in the history of the game to don their famed bleu, blanc et rouge. Enjoying a period of time from 1955 to 1960 in which they won five (5) straight Stanley Cup championships, offered here is this collection of nine (9) pucks signed by men that suited up for the Habs during the 1950s. Signing their autographs over mostly souvenir model slugs made by InGlasCo that feature various styles and sizes of Canadiens logos over their fronts and NHL logos on the reverse sides, all of the pucks included in the lot have been signed in silver marker ink while each also has been inscribed by the man that signed it with an inscription listing the Stanley Cup's they won while wearing Montreal's uniform during the 1950s. Additionally, a couple have also included inscriptions for their number and/or HHOF induction year as well. Including examples signed by Dollard St. Laurent, Jean-Guy Talbot, Ab MacDonald, Bob Turner, Andre Pronovost, Al Langlois, Don Marshall, Phil Goyette and Marcel Bonin, all the signatures display beautifully for the most part, with just a couple showing the odd small smudge while the pucks themselves are in a matching condition state and show only light handling wear. An excellent grouping, the pucks of Goyette, Talbot and MacDonald are accompanied by COA's.
