One of only seven men throughout a century of NHL hockey to eclipse the insurmountable 700-goal plateau and just the third in the league's history to surpass the mark of 800, Alexander Ovechkin has proven himself as one of the game’s all-time greatest, with HOF enshrinement guaranteed. Recently taking claim of the NHL's all-time goal scoring record previously held by Wayne Gretzky and having been the practical owner of the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy that is awarded at seasons end to the man with the most goals during the season, Ovi has won it nine (9) times, including a run of four (4) straight between 2012-13 and 2015-16. A Stanley Cup champion with the Washington Capitals in 2018, a playoffs in which he also captured the Conn Smythe Trophy, Ovi has also secured a trio of Hart Memorial Trophy's and an Art Ross Trophy, offered here is this stick used by Ovi in. practice's with the Washington Capitals during 2006-07 season, his sophomore campaign in the league. A CCM Vector 10.0 model twig that once had "A. Ovechkin" identifiers stamped over the upper shaft which have faded away with time, the stick retains its original tape job of white cloth finished at the bottom with white vinyl while white is still wrapped around the front section of the blade as well. Additionally, Ovi's number "8" is penned over the front side of the handle tape in black marker ink along with a notation reading "Practice" in matching ink. Displaying strong elements of use throughout its entirety including a number of marks and abrasions throughout the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade, both sides of the blade tape show a number of puck marks as well that are worth noting for accuracy. Of note, the stick also retains a factory serial number sticker on the backside of the shaft while a production stamp is found on the underside near the blade.
