Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025

Before memes and missteps clouded the narrative, Dany Heatley was simply one of the purest
snipers in the NHL. A goal-scorer with swagger, Heatley burst onto the scene with the Atlanta
Thrashers and made an immediate impact. He followed up a Calder Trophy-winning rookie
campaign with one of the most dominant scoring stretches in modern memory — back-to-back
50-goal seasons (2005–06, 2006–07) that cemented him among the league’s elite. His release
was lethal, his instincts uncanny, and for a stretch in the 2000s, few could touch him.
The Easton Synergy is as iconic as the players who wielded it — a staple of the early-to-mid-2000s,
when every kid on the ice dreamed of having a Synergy, and every goal-scorer seemed to be
using one. This particular stick features Heatley’s signature orange Synergy paired with his
trademark black spray paint on the bottom of the shaft and blade — a custom touch he often
used during his time in Atlanta. The chipped paint shows signs of real game action, while
Heatley’s original tape job remains intact on both the blade and knob. “15 HEATLEY” is boldly
displayed on the black namebar along the shaft.
A beautifully preserved signature, inscribed with “To Casey, Best Wishes!” appears on the heel
of the blade, just beside the white tape job. A true artifact from the dawn of a dynamic NHL
career.
