The 1990 American League Rookie of the Year and Gold Glove winner Sandy Alomar would cement himself as a Cleveland fan favourite having spent 11 of his 20 years in the Majors with the Indians. Helping Cleveland to an appearance in the 1997 World Series in 1997, a year in which he was also named MVP of the 1997 MLB All-Star Game, offered here is this bat used by Alomar Jr. as a member of the Cleveland Indians during the mid-to-late-1990s. A Louisville Slugger P72 model stick in a red wood colour, the bat measures 34" in total length and features Alomar's signature and “Cleveland Indians” branding on the barrel to go along with a Louisville Slugger logo seen further down. Also having had Alomar's number "15" and "P72" penned over the knob and end of the barrel in black marker ink, the bat is void of Alomar's usually seen layer of pine tar/mota stick but does shows signs of use via numerous ball and bat rack marks. Signed by Sandy over the barrel between the brandings with a black marker ink signature that is seen as being in overall good condition while sporting some fading/signs of age, the bat remains fully intact and not cracked. Of note, due to the lack of pine tar/mota stick over the handle, we are NOT referring to the bat as "game-used" but "simply" used as it shows appropriate wear elements and could have been swung during batting practice.
