This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
Offered here are a pair of game-worn Swift Current Broncos home jerseys, including an
early-to-mid-1990s example worn by Jason Horvath and a circa 1995-96 jersey worn by Ryan
Tobler. Both jerseys display heavy game use, featuring multiple puck and stick marks, board
burns, and team repairs, with the team’s memorial patch adorning the right shoulder on each
example.
Horvath played for the Broncos during the 1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, and 1993-94 seasons,
and his jersey remains a battle-tested piece of WHL history. This size 54 jersey exhibits
significant wear, with a pilling collar and front full of puck and stick marks, accompanied by small
yellow stains around the neckline. The right arm has several board burns, puck and stick marks,
with a small rip on the sleeve, while two team repairs are present on the left arm, which also
displays similar game use. Featuring number 25 on both sleeves and the back, with
white-over-green numbering on the arms and blue-over-green on the back, the jersey retains its
original fight strap. The nameplate reads “HORVATH” in blue over green, with further game wear
present throughout the back, adding to its well-worn appearance.
Ryan Tobler’s size 56 home jersey saw extensive use during the 1995-96 season, with Tobler
also suiting up for the Broncos in 1996-97. Evidence of a former nameplate suggests prior use,
and the jersey boasts heavy game wear throughout. The front has several puck and stick
marks, along with small stains across the fabric. The right arm features board burns, multiple
stick and puck marks, and a small rip, while a brown stain is evident on the left arm, which also
bears similar game use. Displaying number 24 on both arms and back, with white-over-green
numerals on the arms and blue-over-green on the back, the jersey retains its fight strap and
features the name “TOBLER” in blue over green on the back nameplate. The back also shows
extensive puck and stick marks, rounding out the well-worn look of this WHL gamer.
