Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
A collection of vintage rubber desirable for display with the original boxes, we offer a puck collection of 6 ranging from the 1930s to 1950s. First, there are two variations of Seamless Rubber Company New Haven, Connecticut, boxes, with one showing a hockey player graphic likely from the 1930s, with the second box from the 1940s. The matching pucks in each appear lightly used with smooth sides and sharp edges, with the SR logo embossed along the side of each, with "Official" on the opposite side. The circa 1930s box has the top flap detached but intact, while the circa 1940s box is held with clear tape, with the top flap gone. Next, we have a pair of Monarch pucks with boxes from circa 1940s, one red, the other blue. The puck in the blue box appears unused, with a Monarch label affixed, while the puck in the red box is blank and shows wear from use. The blue box is in excellent condition (a large collection of these unused pucks and boxes were found years ago and can be easily found in the hobby), while the red box shows wear with the bottom flap missing. Lastly, there is two matching "Official League Professional" pucks from the circa 1950s, possibly later, with one puck blank and one sports a red label. One of the boxes shows more wear and is missing the top flap.
