Dickie Moore was a relentless and highly skilled left winger who played a pivotal role in the
Montreal Canadiens’ legendary dynasty of the 1950s and early-1960s. Moore was a key figure
in helping the Canadiens secure six Stanley Cup championships during his career (1953, 1956,
1957, 1958, 1959, and 1960), including an unprecedented five consecutive Cups from 1956 to
1960—a feat that has never been matched in NHL history and remains one of the rarest
accomplishments in professional sports. Moore’s best season came in 1958-59 when he broke
Gordie Howe’s single-season scoring record with 96 points (41 goals, 55 assists), capturing his
second consecutive Art Ross Trophy as the NHL’s leading scorer. Despite battling through knee
injuries for much of his career, Moore remained a dominant force, known for his heavy shot,
strong skating, and fearlessness in front of the net. His contributions to the Canadiens’ dynasty
helped cement the team’s place in hockey history, and his competitive spirit made him a fan
favorite in Montreal. After 719 career games, Moore retired with 261 goals and 608 points. He
was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1974.
This Dickie Moore rookie card, graded PSA 6, is housed in a PSA holder that exhibits some fine scratches and a few scuff marks and which otherwise remains in excellent condition.
