A product of the Edmonton Oil Kings who was drafted by both the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (59th overall) and Indianapolis Racers of the World Hockey Association (105th overall) in the Summer of 1974, Harold Snepsts would go the route of the NHL and suit up with the likes of Vancouver, Minnesota, Detroit and St. Louis over the course of seventeen (17) seasons in the league. Highly penalized during his time in the league and 781 games with the Canucks on Canada's west coast, offered here is this Vancouver jersey worn by Snepsts during the 1988-89 season. Made by CCM and sporting a partially washed out Maska Ultrafil label still affixed to the inner collar, the jersey measures out to roughly a size "54" for its effort and has had a CCM "small block" logo embroidered into the reverse hem. Of note, the style of CCM logo embroidered into the reverse hem helps tell us that the jersey is either a "Set 2" example worn for the middle portion of the season or a later in the year "Set 3" specimen that was worn late in the regular season and into the playoffs as Vancouver's "Set 1" jerseys during the 1988-89 season had a different style of CCM logo embroidered into them. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Canucks "flying skate" team crest that features embroidered details, the Babe Pratt memorial patch that was added to the jerseys by the club after Pratt's passing on December 16th, 1988 is affixed over the right breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Snepsts' number "27" in dual layer yellow-over-orange tackle twill numerals, "Snepsts" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its original fight strap on the interior and exhibiting good game-wear throughout its entirety, stick marks are found over the front, reverse and both sleeves, there are board burns over both sleeves, a red coloured board paint transfer is spotted over the area of the right elbow, there are unrepaired small holes at the top of the orange stripe on the left side of the reverse and at the bottom of the orange stripe on the left sleeve near the elbow and numerous fabric snags throughout, it is also worth noting that there is pilling around the collar and throughout the interior as well.
