Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
Combining to play a total of 2467 games in the National Hockey League over the course of their respective careers, both Owen Nolan and Jason Arnott would be selected in the first round of the 1990 and 1993 NHL Entry Drafts respectively and wear the red and white colours of Team Canada in international play. Offered here, we present this pair of sticks used individually by Nolan and Arnott in the late-1990s as members of the San Jose Sharks and New Jersey Devils. Branches Ultra Pro 7700 (Nolan) and Easton Super Light 7000 (Arnott), that both retain their original tape jobs of white around the blades (most of the tape on Arnott's stick has been removed) and either teal cloth (Nolan) or white (Arnott) around the handles/knobs, "O. Nolan" is stamped over the shaft of the Nolan stick while the Arnott one is void of any identifiers. Both showing good game-use via a number of marks and abrasions throughout the entirety of each stick, both sticks also show a bit of wear to the bottom of their blades which is worth mentioning for accuracy. With the Arnott stick sporting an Easton blade inserted into the bottom of the shaft, it is also worth noting that Nolan has signed his stick over the blade tape on the forehand side with a black marker ink signature that displays well despite some fading from age.
