Upset when first apprised of the trade, leaving the Winnipeg Arena after practice without speaking to anyone, Teemu Selanne was dealt to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Feb 6, 1996. Adjusting to his new American home, "the Finnish Flash" would star with fellow superstar Paul Kariya, and spend parts of 15 seasons in California spread over two stints. Offered here, we present this signed stick used by Selanne as a member of the Ducks in the period of the early-to-mid-2010s, circa the lockout shortened 2012-13 season. A Warrior made Dynasty AX1 model twig with "T. Selanne" factory graphics observed over the shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of white around the handle/knob, which has had an "M" and a "2" penned to it over the front side and butt end in black marker ink, while black is still seen wrapped around the front portion of the blade. Signed by Selanne over the forehand side of the heel with a large silver ink signature that displays without issue, the stick shows just light game-use overall via some marks/abrasions throughout the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade while both sides of the blade tape shows light marks as well. Additionally, some red marks appear over the handle tape.
