Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
The first group consists of five CCM Custom Pro wooden sticks, all game-issued to Maple Leafs players: Bobby Baun from early-1970s, Jim McKenny from early-1970s, Terry Clancy from late-1960s/early-1970s, Norm Ullman from early-1970s, and Bob Pulford from the late-1960s.
Each stick is in excellent condition, stamped “CCM Custom Pattern Made Pro,” with the player’s
name and number on the shaft directly below the handle, reading “21 BAUN,” “CLANCY 21,”
“ULLMAN” and “PULFORD 20,” each corresponding to its respective player. Baun’s and
Pulford’s sticks are signed in blue marker along the shaft, with Baun’s signature accompanied
by a Frozen Pond COA. The McKenny stick, from the early-1970s, is attributed to Jim McKenny
who wore #18 for the Leafs. It is stamped “McKenney” likely a factory error confusing him with
Don McKenney (#17), but is correctly marked with McKenny’s handwritten name at the top of
the handle.
The second group includes five additional wooden sticks. Among them is a Garry Monahan #20
stick, made for Monahan and used by Terry Clancy with the Maple Leafs in the early-1970s,
featuring “Clancy” handwritten on the shaft. There is also a Victoriaville stick attributed to
Clancy, dating to the early-to-mid 1970s, based on a model introduced in 1971–72, though the
team is unknown. Two Louisville Slugger sticks are attributed to Mike Jakubo, both stamped
with the number “23” and bearing his name misspelled as “Jukubo” which is stamped at the
bottom of the shaft. They date to the early-to-mid 1970s, with the team also unknown. One of
the Jakubo sticks is signed by several individuals, including Red Horner in 1995, with four
additional, undecipherable signatures on the reverse. The final stick is a Koho MVP model
signed by Curtis Joseph on one side of the blade and Eddie Shack on the other, with a
handwritten “Gretzky” that does not appear to be an authentic Wayne Gretzky signature and is
offered as is.
