Helping his New York Islanders to their fourth (4th) straight Stanley Cup the season before, Bryan Trottier would register 111 points in only 68 games played during the 1983-84 season, once again being selected to play for the Wales Conference at the 1984 NHL All-Star Game in New Jersey. Unable to play in the game due to a knee injury that occurred just before the contest took place, offered here is this jersey that was prepared for Trottier's use for the 1984 NHL All-Star Game. Made by CCM, a brand label displaying a penned size "50" designation in blue ballpoint pen ink is affixed to the inner collar underneath a sewn in Gerry Cosby label as well. Missing the CCM patch that was seen over the hem of jerseys worn during the game, the jersey is decorated over the front with "Wales" going diagonally down the chest from right-to-left in dual layer black-over-orange drop shadow tackle twill letters while single layer black twill stars also appear over the lower front, reverse and both sleeves. Sporting Wales Conference and NHL shield patches over the left and right shoulders respectively, the interior is void of a fight strap and the sleeves plus verso have been accented with Trottier's number "19" in dual layer drop-shadow tackle twill numerals while "Trottier" has been spelt out in matching style letters that have been sewn directly to the jersey at the top of the reverse. Originating originally from Trottier's personal collection and sold by Beckett during their auction at the 1999 National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, the jersey shows only light wear via a small handful of spot stains/marks throughout the body and sleeves and is accompanied by the original COA signed by Trottier that incorrectly lists the jersey as being a "1983 Game-Worn All-Star Jersey".
