Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
Regarded as one of the most memorable hockey sets that Topps ever put out and headlined by the key rookie card of "The Golden Jet", Bobby Hull, the company's 1958-59 release featured a checklist that consisted of 66-cards that feature the images of players from the four (4) American based National Hockey League teams. Found here in complete set form, is this assembly of Topps' desirable 1958-59 hockey release that includes all sixty-six (66) cards making up the checklist. Paced by a copy of Hull's key rookie card that has recently been returned from grading at PSA and has earned a mark of GOOD 2 for its effort, the rest of the set is found to be in the overall range of G to VG with most sporting rounded and worn corners as well as some small amounts of creasing on some of the cards that are present. With the star players and other rookie cards all around G to VG for their efforts as well, the contingent of key cards is paced by examples of #2 Terry Sawchuk (FR to G - bad crease at the bottom left) and #8 Gordie Howe (FR to G - two small hairline creases at the top border). One of the most important sets in the vintage hockey card hobby, don't miss out on these for your all-important collection!
