This 1982-83 Baltimore Skipjacks game-worn jersey from the former American Hockey League team saw its share of use from a couple of players during that season, and it has a few tales to tell. The white mesh affair is attributed to have been worn by Dave Hannan, who played five games for Baltimore that season while playing the bulk of the campaign for the Pittsburgh Penguins on his way to playing 841 NHL games with Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Toronto, Buffalo, Colorado, and Ottawa, winning the Stanley Cup with the Oilers in 1987-88 and the Avalanche in 1995-96. His surname is spelled out in rubberized letters on the nameplate sewn on the back. It is clear to see that another name is on the reverse of the nameplate, which was obviously removed to have Hannan’s name added on the other side before it was turned over and sewn back on the jersey. “Feltrin” clearly visible on the other side of the nameplate is for Tony Feltrin, who played 31 games for the Skipjacks in 1982-83 and played a total of 48 NHL games with Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers in the early- to mid-1980s. Small size XXL flag tag remains in the back of the neck; the jersey measures approximately a size 50. Number “2” on the back and both sleeves is sewn on black and gold double twill. There are two team repairs on the left sleeve and another pair of sewing fixes on the right sleeve. Some of the yellow portion of the black twill team crest on the front has washed out/worn off, particularly on the top through “Baltimore”. Most of the stitching has let go on the top of the back number "2" and glue spots/residues are present on the back of the “2” on the inside of the jersey, and there is glue on the top of the number that went through with some dried glued spots finding their way to the back of the team's crest. There are a couple of unrepaired slices above the stripes on the left sleeve and more game wear includes black marks and board burns.
