Originally drafted 35th overall by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim at the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Matt Cullen would go on to play a total of 1516 games in the National Hockey League with eight different teams over the course of twenty-one seasons in the league. A three-time Stanley Cup champion (Carolina in 2006 and Pittsburgh in 2016 and 2017), Cullen is one of only two American-born players to play in at least 1,500 NHL games. Offered here, we present this Pittsburgh Penguins jersey worn by Cullen during the second period of the 2017 NHL Stadium Series contest against the Philadelphia Flyers on February 25th, 2017 at Heniz Field in Pittsburgh. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, the logos of both the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a familiar Penguins team crest that has been administered in layered tackle twill, the all-important 2017 NHL Stadium Series event patch has been added over the right sleeve while a Pittsburgh "City of Champions" crest sits sewn over the left sleeve. Styled over the shoulders and reverse with Cullen's number "7" in dual layer tackle twill numerals that are of either a black-over-white or black-over-yellow style, "Cullen" is spelt out in dual layer black-over-yellow letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its original fight strap on the interior as well as a trio of sewn in event tags including one (1) from Fanatics plus a pair from the Penguins that denote the event, opponents, date and venue, both tags also list the name of Penguins head equipment manager Dana Heinze while one denotes the jersey as being a second (2nd) period example. Worn for just a single period of play and showing just light wear overall, board burns are seen over both sleeves in the area of the elbows.
