This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
A neat lot of baseball premiums and food issues sure to pique your interest is offered here, featuring O-Pee-Chee (33) and Topps (6) Baseball Pin-Ups from 1967 as well as 1981 and 1982 Fanta Beverages Inc. (FBI) MLB Discs (3) which includes the seldom seen 1981 example of Pete Rose. Starting with the Baseball Pin-Ups from 1967/1968, specifically the O-Pee-Chee examples that are nearly identical to their Topps counterparts that were released in 1967 and were included as inserts in wax packs of the company's 1968 baseball release, the group includes notables of 3-Yastrzemski (GOOD - 70-30 centering and pinhole in his hat), 4-Clemente (EX to EX-MT), 8-Aaron (EX - heavy fold line and tiny stain at top right, 11-Mantle (x2 - one EX to EX-MT that is off-center and one VG-EX to EX that shows a small smudge near his head), 15-Mays (EX to EX-MT) and 29-F. Robinson (EX to EX-MT - off-center). Missing #'s 16 and 32 while presenting around EX to EX-MT overall throughout the group, the near-complete assembly also includes an extra copy of pin-up #31 picturing Harmon Killebrew which is glued to a scrapbook page and it should be noted that #26 of Joe Torre is in overall poor condition. For the 1967 Topps Pin-Ups examples, included are those of 11-Clemente (GOOD - tiny dirt mark at top border and tiny tear in the fold line at the right side), 15-Aaron (GOOD - tiny tear in fold line at right side) and 16-Drysdale (VG to VG-EX - dirty at bottom left) while low-grade specimens glued to scrapbook paper of Aaron, Mays and McDowell are also present and accounted for also. Lastly, the lot concludes with bilingual 1981 Fanta Beverages Inc. (FBI) MLB Discs of Pete Rose (GOOD - dirty reverse and multiple small creases) and Andre Dawson (GOOD - stained front) and a 1982 Fanta Beverages Inc. (FBI) MLB Disc of Carlton Fisk (G to VG - light bend at the left side and stain plus pressure dent on the reverse).
