Kings of their respective sports, we offer hand-drawn portraits of legendary stars Gordie Howe and Mickey Mantle by longtime Hockey News cartoonist Bill Maki. Both pencil sketches, the Howe is approx 6" x 8", with Gordie signing in blue ink, while the Mantle is just over 7" x 10", with a clubhouse signature - not Mantle's - in blue ballpoint. Each comes with the original return envelope Maki sent with the artwork to each team to be signed, with the Howe postmarked January of 1958, while the Mantle is postmarked September of 1959. Both portraits remain in beautiful condition with no issues.
