Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/24/2025
Before he was a Stanley Cup champion or a trusted presence in the crease for the Toronto
Maple Leafs, Anthony Stolarz was just a tall, lanky kid grinding it out in the minors—fighting for
every chance, every call-up, every start. Drafted in the second round by the Philadelphia Flyers
in 2012, he logged years bouncing between the AHL and ECHL, learning the hard way what it
takes to stick. His NHL debut came in 2016–17 with the Flyers, the first team to take a real
chance on him. Over two stints with the club, he made 19 starts—just enough to prove he
belonged, before ultimately being traded.
Worn by Stolarz during the 2018–19 NHL season, this third jersey is officially classified as “Third
Set 1,” per the accompanying team LOA. Made by Adidas in a size 58 cut, the jersey
features the NHL shield on the front neckline and the Adidas logo on the reverse neckline. An
Adidas band with "58” sizing resides over the inner collar Stolarz’s number 41 appears on both
sleeves and the verso of the jersey in black over white tackle twill. STOLARZ is stitched across
the back in black over orange on the nameplate. A fight strap is firmly affixed inside the jersey,
and the inner hem bears authenticity patches from both MeiGray and Philly Express, verifying
its use during the 2018-19 campaign. Game wear is present, with noticeable puck marks over
the numerals on the left sleeve and light surface wear consistent with in-game action.
