Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025

Highlighted by a rare Fibrosport fiberglass mask manufactured by Jacques Plante's company in the 1970s, we offer a trio of vintage goal masks along with a vintage Cooper trapper. The Fibrosport mask has the proper hole pattern and shape found on the HOFers company's masks, with this example modified with the eyes cut out for a large single opening viewer. The backplate appears original, as is possibly the strapping, with a black, red and white paint scheme with stars. The mask shows heavy use, with wear, marks and considerable chipping over the nose bridge and chin. The interior padding has all been removed, with the outlines at the top portion of the mask showing the correct placement for a Fibrosport. The second fiberglass mask is similar in style including the Flyers paint job to what Wayne Stephenson wore with Philadelphia during the mid-to-late-1970s. The strapping appears to be more modern, with the original padding intact to the interior. The mask shows use with marks, scratches and wear. The third mask is a Wilson eye mask from the 1940s/50s, with these used by goaltenders occasionally, as well as baseball catchers. Thick wire with padding and the original strapping, it shows just light wear. Lastly, the circa-1970s/80s Cooper GM12 Professional trapper is for the right hand, and it is of the highest quality produced by the company during the era. It shows use with scratches, marks and darkening to the leather.
